About 30 people are feared stuck under the debris after a building crumbled owing to heavy rains in Solan district in Himachal Pradesh. The building is a guest house with army men inside. The rescue teams have been pressed into work immediately.
Till now 10 people have been rescued. The incident took place at around 4 pm on Sunday near the Kumarhatti-Nahan highway in Solan.
As per the reports, the Army personnel had halted there to have lunch at the place where the building has collapsed. Eyewitnesses said that there was an Army troop from Nahan and two families inside the building.
Director-cum-Special Secretary Revenue and Disaster Management DC Rana has, however, said that 25 people are stuck under the debris.

“A total of 25 persons were on the spot. It is raining heavily. NDRF team from Panchkula moving,” he said. Heavy rains were hampering the rescue operation.
Deputy Commissioner KC Chaman told the media that a rescue operation was on to rescue the people still trapped inside, adding that the injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals. However, the worry is about those who remain trapped.
