The Hush Post: The post mortem report prepared by the medical board constituted by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), Delhi, led to the arrest of the three police officers and six other police personnel in the Gudiya rape and murder case. When the CBI was handed over the case in July this year, it did not rely on the post mortem report prepared by doctors at IGMC (Indira Gandhi Medical College), Shimla. The post mortem report prepared by IGMC had cited ‘traumatic shock’ as the reason for Suraj’s death. However, they did not for whatever reasons write the nature of injuries which led to traumatic shock. The team of doctors from AIIMS made it clear that a rod, baton or a stick was used to inflict injuries and Suraj died because of shock as a result of the physical injuries on his body. Deep cuts were found on his back and hips and there was a U-shape injury on his right leg. Injury marks were also noticed on the soles of his feet. The medical board of doctors from AIIMS , Delhi, included Prof. Dr Sudhir K Gupta, Dr Millo, Dr Abhishek Yadav, Dr Antara Dev Verma and Dr Arjit De.
