The Hush Post: In an unusual case, a woman has been accused of molesting a teenage boy. The woman has been booked in a case under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The strange incident was reported from Vijayawada where a woman allegedly molested a 14-year-old boy. After registering a case under the POCSO Act, the police have sent and the minor boy to a government hospital for medical examinations, a report said.
The accused woman is a 45-year-old resident of Nunna. She allegedly assaulted the 14-year-old boy sexually on Friday evening. The victim boy’s mother has filed a complaint with the local police against the woman. The family members of the victim boy attacked the accused woman when they came to know about the incident, the report said.
Notably, the POCSO Act was formulated in 2012 in order to effectively address sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children. But, lodging a case against a woman in on these charges is an unusual one, it was reported.
In a similar incident in May, a 33-year old lady teacher in Chandigarh was arrested for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy who was taking tuitions from her. The Chandigarh Police had booked the teacher under Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
