The Victoria police have recovered the dead body of Poshik Sharma, the Indian youth who went missing in Australia five days back. Poshik’s body was found on the outskirts of Marysville town in Australia’s Victoria state.

21-year-old Poshik Sharma had gone missing on July 11 after he left his friends at Duck Inn Pub.

A team of around 90 people from the Victoria Police, the State Emergency Service, Country Fire Authority and specialist teams launched a massive manhunt to find Poshik. They scoured the town, bushland and waterways throughout the weekend.

His body was finally spotted in bushland on a property on the outskirts of the town on Monday morning. The police aren’t ruling out foul play and have launched an investigation into the matter. Police say Poshik had left the pub after a minor altercation with his friends.

Poshik Sharma was in Melbourne to pursue his higher studies. He was staying in Marysville with his friends. His family in India has been informed, said the police.
