The Hush Post: In a shocking incident, a man in Bihar hired contract killers to get his father murdered to get his (father’s) job in the railways.
The police have arrested the victim’s son for allegedly plotting his murder along with two contract killers.
Earlier this week, a railway employee Om Prakash Mandal was shot at in which he had got injured. On Wednesday police arrested his son and two persons who had been hired by him to kill his father.
Mandal was shot at when he was on way to his office on Officer’s Club Road under East Colony police station locality in Bihar’s Munger district on Tuesday. He was admitted to the railway hospital, the report said.
The police first arrested shooter Ravi Ranjan (31) from Rampur under the Jamalpur police station with the help of CCTV footage. After his confession, the police arrested another shooter Sunil Mandal and Om Prakash’s son Pawan Mandal (28), the report said.
East Colony police said that Pawan was preparing for competitive examinations for last many years but he remained unsuccessful. As his father had to retire on April 30, Pawan hatched a conspiracy to get him killed to get a job in railways on compassionate grounds, TOI reported.
“Pawan hired the two contract killers for Rs 2 lakh and paid to them half of the amount as advance,” a police officer was quoted as saying. He added raids were on to arrest Vicky and Jugnu, who played middlemen to broker the deal.
The arrested three men were sent to jail on Thursday.
