Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) awarded some students 38 out of total 35 marks in some subjects and gave marks to some students in those papers they had not taken
The Hush Post: In an incident that shows glaring inefficiency and incapability of the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB), some class 12th students were awarded 38 out of total 35 marks in important subjects like Mathematics and Physics while some others were given marks in those subjects they had not appeared.
On Friday some students of class 12 said that they had scored higher marks than the total, while some other students said that they got marks in the subjects they had not appeared, a report said.
A student Bhim Kumar, who hails from Arwal district of the state, has been awarded 38 marks out of the total 35 in the theory paper of Mathematics and 37 out of 35 in the objective-type questions. “I am not shocked because such things have been happening in the state board exams for long,” Bhim Kumar was quoted as saying.
Another student Sandeep Raj, who hails from East Champaran, has been awarded 38 out of 35 in the theory paper of physics. “How is it possible? I got zero in the objective-type questions in English and Rashtra Bhasha,” Sandeep Raj was quoted. Darbhanga district’s Rahul Kumar scored 40 out of 35 in the objective paper of maths, the report said.
One more student Janvi Singh, of Vaishali, said she had not appeared in the Biology paper, but she got 18 marks in the subject. Same happened with Satya Kumar, who appeared for the exam from Ram Krishna Dwarika College in Patna, and was wrongly given marks in a paper he had not appeared, the report said.
