The Hush Post: An Air India Patna-Delhi flight made an emergency landing at the Jay Prakash Narayan Airport in Patna after experiencing a bird hit. The plane was carrying 124 passengers and all of them are safe, ANI reported.
The bird hit led one of the engines to develop a snag. The AI 410 flight, which was bound to Delhi. The passengers were deplaned and made to board another aircraft. An inspection was done to assess the damage caused to the aircraft.
This is the third time in 10 days that a bird hit has been witnessed over the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. Two flights of SpiceJet and one of Indigo in Patna too had to be grounded due to bird hit after the aircraft underwent heavy turbulence. The two planes were carrying 365 passengers.
Earlier this month, a Port Blair-bound GoAir flight with 167 people on board returned shortly after take off from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata after it suffered a bird hit.
