Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav has withdrawn his divorce petition in Patna. A civil court had to take up Tej Pratap’s petition on Thursday for divorce with his wife of six months, Aishwarya Rai.
On November 2, Tej Pratap had filed for a divorce from Aishwarya, an MBA graduate, daughter of RJD MLA Chandrika Rai and grand daughter of former Bihar chief minister Daroga Prasad Rai.
He had cited “compatibility issues” and since then he has been away in an undisclosed location.
Tej Pratap had married Aishwarya in May this year. He has told mediapersons earlier that he had done so under pressure from his parents. He could not adjust with her as she came from a different background, he had said.
According to a news report, many RJD lawmakers were found discussing the divorce On Wednesday in private conversations on the legislature premises.The asembly session is on since November 26.
One of the RJD MLAs butted in to tell other lawmakers not to discuss Tej Pratap and Aishwarya’s divorce as the boss (read Tejashwi) has issued strict instruction to avoid such talk.
However, Tej Pratap has not returned yet after he left home early this month.
