BREAKING: NRI woman shot dead, kin injured in firing at Tanda in Hoshiparpur

The Hush Post: An NRI woman was killed and her sister-in-law got seriously injured in a firing incident in Tanda on Tuesday. Tanda falls in Hoshiarpur district.

Deceased NRI woman was Sarabjit Kaur and her sister-in-law Dalbir Kaur is injured.

According to available information, the deceased woman is a non-resident Indian (NRI) from Canada. She had gone to the gun shop along with her sister-in-law on Tuesday morning.

A report by News 18 TV channel said that the incident took place at Chahal Gun House in Tanda.

That time shop owner’s son Amanpreet Singh was at the shop. The report said that a heated argument broke out between the two women and Amanpreet Singh.

Suddenly there was a noise of firing of bullets. The firing saw the NRI woman Sarabjit Kaur dead and her sister-in-law Dalbir Kaur got injured. A total of four to six rounds of bullets were fired.

After the incident, Amanpreet Singh fled the scene locking the shop from outside. The body was NRI woman was inside the shop at that time.

The area people reported the matter to the police. A police party reached the spot to investigate the matter.

The police are scanning the footage of CCTV camera installed in the shop.
