The bride’s mother and groom’s father who had eloped on their children’s wedding in Gujarat have done it again. The man and the woman have reportedly run away once more after returning.
The elderly ‘lovers’ had made a vanishing act in January this year. They had returned to their homes two weeks after they had eloped, giving into societal pressure.
However, 46-year-old Himmat Pandey and 43-year-old Shobhna Raval decided to run away again a month after returing. Two left their respective homes on Saturday and are staying in a rented house in Surat.
While HImmat Pandey hails from Surat, Shobhna is from Navsari.
Reports say, Shobhna went on to stay in her paternal house after being refused to be accepted by her husband on her return.
Unlike last time, this time no case has been registered against the ‘missing’ couple.
Earlier on January 10, Himmat, a businessman and member of a local political party, had left his house in Katargam while Shobhana, who is married to a broker, left her house in Navsari.
Subsequently, their children had to call off their wedding.
While speaking to a close relative, it was revealed that two knew each other since they were kids and lived in the same neighbourhood.
Apparently, they were also in a relationship, before the bride’s mother got engaged to her husband.
