The Hush Post: Several video clips have gone viral on social media and WhatsApp showing some Punjabi youths, who are on study visa to Canada, creating rucking and hooliganism in Brampton city of Canada. These youths are accused of beating up a landlord who reportedly refused to rent out his house to some of these students.
A news report aired by News 18 TV channel said on Saturday that after the violence by a group of Punjabi students a complaint has been made to the local police in Brampton city of Canada. Now the news is that they could be deported.
Several video clips have gone viral on WhatsApp and other social media about this incident. These video clips show a group of students going berserk and violent on the roads of Brampton. These students also beat up a landlord who reportedly refused to rent out his house to some of these students. The News 18 report further said that due to similar incidents of violence by the Indian students, especially those from Punjab, the local landlords in Brampton don’t rent out their houses to the Punjabi students.
The report further said that following the recent incident of violence by Punjabi students, the Canadian government may make rules more strict for the Indian students seeking study visa to Canada.
Meanwhile, three Punjab-origin Members of Parliament (MPs) from Canada, namely Raj Grewal, Kamal Khaira and Sonia Sidhu have condemned this incident of violence by some Punjabi students. They reportedly said that due to such a handful of students, the entire Punjabi community has to feel embarrassment.
Brampton is a city in the Canadian province of Ontario. Situated in Southern Ontario, it is a suburban city in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
