A BMW owner allegedly thrashed a man riding a bicycle and robbed him of his watch and Rs. 700 just because his bicycle caused a scratch on his BMW car.
The incident took place in Derra Bassi. The incident took place about a month ago but police registered a case now after verifying the incident.
One Ennaite Aggarwal, a resident of Sector 8-C, Chandigarh banged his car into a bicycle and on top of it thrashed the man riding it for causing a scratch on his car.
He was booked on the complaint of the victim Pradeep Kumar, 32, who lives in Golmajra, Derra Bassi.
According to Pradeep Kumar, he was on his way to Mabarakpur. While on his way near Ghaggar bridge he was hit by a speeding BMW – CH04B—7778.
It was only after the intervention of two people crossing the area the cyclist heaved a sigh of relief. However, he immediately went to the police station and registered a complaint. An FIR was registered much later after verifying the sequence of the event.
The initial complaint was lodged with Mohali SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal. The SSP forwarded the complaint to ASI Harmandeep Hans, who registered the FIR. Ennaite Aggarwal has been booked under Section 323, 341 AND 392 of the IPC.
