Air India will start a direct flight from Chandigarh to Nanded (Hazoor Sahib) in Maharashtra twice a week on Tuesday and Wednesday. The flight will start on January 8.
Flight number 817 will depart from Chandigarh at 9.10 am and will reach Nanded (Hazoor Sahib) at 11.30 am. While flight number 818 will leave from Hazoor Sahib at 12.05 pm and will reach Chandigarh at 2.20 pm.
Hazoor Sahib is also known as Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib. Abchal Nagar is one of the five Takhts in Sikhism. It is located on the banks of the Godavari river in Nanded.
The structure is built at a place where Guru Gobind Singh breathed his last. However, the gurdwara was built between 1832 and 1837 on the orders of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
