Chandigarh’s Amanpreet Kaur Sidhu dies in plane crash in Telangana

A Cessna plane crashed yesterday in the afternoon in the Vikarabad district of Telangana due to which a trainee pilot and her instructor were killed.

According to the reports, the deceased trainee pilot Amanpreet Kaur Sidhu belonged to Chandigarh. The instructor Prakash Vishal, of Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy, hailed from Patna. His ID was found at the crash site yesterday and later, both the deceased were identified by the academy officials.

The airplane had taken off from Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. R Bhaskar, Additional Superintendent of Police Vikarabad reportedly said that it was raining at the time of the crash. The reports suggest that the trainee pilot lost control on the airplane because of the high-speed winds.

An eyewitness who informed the police about the crash, reportedly claimed that the plane flipped in the air and crashed. The SP also said that the pilots lost radar contact about an hour after the take-off.
