Constable part of Punjab CM’s security team shot dead at Mohali nightclub

A constable who was a part of Punjab CM Amarinder Singh’s security team was shot dead at a Mohali nightclub in the early hours of Sunday.

The victim has been identified as Sukhwinder Kumar and the police are suspecting the nightclub owner Sahil in this case. The nightclub where the incident happened is located in Chandigarh’s Sector 9.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohali, Ramandeep Singh reportedly said that both the victim and the suspect came to a nightclub named “Walking Street” with their friends. They started fighting over a petty issue.

According to the reports, police suspects that the victim was shot around 3’o clock in the morning. He was taken to Ivy hospital in Mohali where he was declared brought dead.

The suspect Sahil left the place soon after the incident. The police have booked him and his unidentified friends under relevant sections of the Arms Act.
