The southpaw has not a member of Team India after of West Indies in June last year. The 36-year-old cricketer was ignored for the ODIs during India’s tour to South Africa and the T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka.

The Hush Post: A member of the 2011 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team and all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has disclosed that he will take a decision about his future in cricket after 2019 cricket season’s end.

The southpaw has not been in the reckoning for the Indian cricket team off late due to poor run with the willow. As the team management and the national selectors are looking for other options, Yuvraj’s chances of playing in the 2019 Cricket World Cup also seem remote.

The 36-year-old all-rounder, who has played for the country in 40 Tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20Is, also struggled to clear the yo-yo fitness test, that is mandatory for selection in Team India, International Business Times (IBT) reported on Monday.

Though he managed to clear the yo-yo test in December 2017, the left-hand batsman was ignored by the national selectors for the limited-overs leg of India’s tour to South Africa and the T20I tri-series — Nidahas Trophy in 2018.

Once considered one of the most dangerous batsmen of cricket, Yuvraj has not been a member of Team India since the 2017 tour of West Indies. As the team management and the national selectors are looking for other options, Yuvraj’s chances of playing in the 2019 Cricket World Cup also seem remote.

“Everybody has to take a decision after a while. I have been playing international cricket since 2000, it has been almost 17-18 years on and off. So, I will definitely take a call after 2019. I am going to look to play till 2019, whatever cricket I get to play. I will take a call when that year is over,” a news agency quoted Yuvraj as saying.

The left hand batsman has not had a good start to the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after returning to his former franchise, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). So far he has scored only 36 runs in five matches.
