The Hush Post: Tremors of earthquake were felt across north India. Chandigarh and surrounding areas shook around 4:15 pm. Apart from it, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh also felt the mild tremors. People reportedly came out into the open in more earthquake prone areas like Shimla, Solan and Kullu.
The tremors were felt for 15 to 20 seconds and people ran out of their houses into the open.
Before this in the morning the tremors were felt in Pakistan and Afghanistan. However, there hasn’t been any loss of life and property. It’s epicentre was Hindu Kush in Afghanistan and on the Richter Scale the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.2.
