Engine of Jet Airways Hyderabad-Chandigarh flight develops technical snag mid-air, makes emergency landing in Indore

Theh Hush Post: A Jet Airways flight from Hyderabad to Chandigarh had a narrow escape Sunday when one of the engines of the plane developed a technical snag mid-air. 104 passengers, including the crew, were aboard the plane.

The 9W 955 Jet Airways flight made an emergency landing at Indore airport. From Indore, a separate plane was arranged for Chandigarh-bound passengers.

This is a daily flight which operates between Hyderabad and Chandigarh, connecting Indore mid-way.

Notably this is the second such instance in September alone wherein passengers aboard a Jet Airways flight have survived a major life-threatening scare.

Earlier on September 20, passengers on Jet Airways flight 9W 697 that took off from Mumbai for Jaipur complained of nose-bleed and many suffered headaches as the cabin pressure plunged mid-air.

A miniscule yet life-threatening error of not switching on a particular button by the cockpit crew had led to a drop in cabin pressure. As a result, the flight, with 166 passengers, had to return shortly after take-off.

A passenger on board had even tweeted a video of the moment.
