While the hardened gangster was arrested in a joint operation by the Jalandhar Rural Police, the Anti-Gangster Special Unit of Mohali Police and Chandigarh Police’s Crime Branch, the hero of this operation was Inspector Amanjot Singh, head of Chandigarh Police’s Crime Branch.
According to available information, Inspector Amanjot Singh did not care for his own life while nabbing gangster Dilpreet Dhahan.
The reports said that the joint team of police officials tried to nab Dilpreet Dhahan but the latter tried to escape from the spot by firing bullets at the police personnel. The joint police team retaliated by firing bullets at the gangster.
When Dhahan realised that he could no longer match the brave police officials, he thought it was better to save his life and tried to flee from the spot in a car. Then, Inspector Amanjot Singh chased the gangster in another vehicle it was like a scene from some Bollywood movie where hero successfully chases the villain. Inspector Amanjot Singh banged his vehicle in that of gangster Dhahan bringing it to a screeching halt. The cops were able to stop Dhahan’s car and succeeded in rounding up a bleeding Dhahan. The gangster sustained three bullets in his thigh.
The encounter took place in Sector 43 of Chandigarh on Monday.
