MISSING CHANDIGARH GIRL GANGRAPED FOR 5 MONTHS, NOW IS 5 MONTHS PREGNANT

The Hush Post, Chandigarh: A city girl was kidnapped by four youth, taken to Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and gang-raped for five months and one of them impregnated her. The police have filed a case five months after the incident. The accused have been booked under various sections of the IPC, including gang-rape and kidnapping. The girl was abducted from outside a Sector-45 college in the city.

A Mohali resident, in his complaint to the police, said that his daughter was pursuing a BA degree from a college situated in Sector-45. On August 19, 2017, while she was waiting for an auto outside the college, a youth named Babloo arrived there along with his friend in an Indica. Babloo, made the victim sit inside the car on the premise of dropping her home. After travelling a short distance, his two another friends also boarded the car. She was offered a cold drink by the accused, which she consumed and fainted. Then she was driven out of the city.

In her statement to the police, the victim alleged that she was confined to a single room by the four accused. She said that the accused threatened to kill her parents if she tried to flee. On January 13, she found the door of her room open and reached a nearby railway station where she found out that she was in Kanpur. She took a mobile phone of a traveller passing by and called her family back home. The family members then informed the police.

The police have recorded the statement of victim under section 164 of the CrPC in front of a duty magistrate. After recording her statement, the police have filed a case against Phase-11 residents of Mohali- Babloo, Sukhbir, Satish and Aarif.

Meanwhile, Sector-34 police station in-charge Ajay Kumar informed that preliminary investigations reveal that the victim had married one of the accused, Babloo, in an Allahbad court. He further said that the medical report of the victim also tells that she is five-month pregnant. The police is taking all the aspects into consideration and investigating into the matter, he said.
