The Hush Post: Dilpreet Dhahan who was today shifted from PGI to Sector 38 has revealed that Parmish Verma paid him an extortion amount of Rs 10 lakh and also promised to pay more.
Now Punjab police plans to question the Punjabi singer in this regard. Dilpreet has told interrogators that Parmish paid Rs 10 lakh to him through a contact after the attack took place on Parmish in April which shook the singer and he even promised to pay more. “If Parmish has given the money then it’s a concern because he didn’t inform us,” as per a report in the Hindustan Times.
Dilpreet and his gang got half of the ₹10 lakh paid by Verma and the remaining amount was retained by a person in the US through whom the money was routed.
Verma, 31, and his friend Kulwant Singh Chahal were shot at when they were returning from an event at Elante Mall in Chandigarh during the midnight of April 14.
Dilpreet had claimed that he was behind Verma’s shooting. Dilpreet uploaded a status on his Facebook page, along with a picture of himself holding a pistol and another picture of Verma crossed out.
Verma and his friend Chahal were shot at on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday in Mohali while they were on their way back home after attending a promotional event at Elante Mall in the city.
A month later, Gippy Grewal also received an extortion call from Dilpreet Dhahan after which he lodged a complaint with the police.
