The projects include Advanced Mother and Child Centre and Advanced Neurosciences Centre that will come up on the PGI campus for which tenders have already been awarded tenders
The Hush Post: For two of its prestigious projects, region’s premier health institute Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has been planning to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for laying the foundation stones of these two major project that will come up at the PGI campus, The Indian Express reported on Saturday.
Quoted sources told Express’ city edition Chandigarh Newsline reported that the PGIMER is making efforts to invite PM Modi to Chandigarh for this event and it is taking up with the Union Health Ministry.
“We are not approaching the PMO office directly. We have taken the matter with the health ministry and the ministry will further approach the PMO office for the invitation,” Express quoted a senior PGI official as saying.
The report said that PGIMER has already awarded tenders for the two prestigious projects “Advanced Mother and Child Centre” and “Advanced Neurosciences Centre”. These projects are expected to be completed within 30 months after the start of their construction.
