Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has been admitted to PGI, Chandigarh.
77-year-old Capt Amarinder was admitted on Wednesday after a medical checkup. He is reportedly suffering from viral infection and has high blood pressure.
It is learnt that the doctors at PGI had asked him to undergo a medical check-up, including chest X-Ray at the hospital. Though, all the results were found to be normal.
Meanwhile, the official engagements for the day were called-off. He was admitted to a private ward on the fifth floor of Nehru Hospital, PGI.
