There is a new twist to Akali politics. The Shiromani Akali Dal leaders who recently rebelled from the SAD(B) have announced to make a new political outfit.
Rebel leaders Dr Ratan Singh Ajnala, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and Seva Singh Sekhvan announced that they will form a new party. The new outfit will adhere to the principles of 1920 Akali Dal. Addressing a press conference, they said that they would make a bigger announcement on December 14. the day when Shiromani Akali Dal was founded.
Shiromani Akali Dal was formed on 14 December 1920. The Akali Dal considers itself the principal representative of Sikhs in India and across the world.
The three leaders recently left SAD(B) due to disgruntlement with the functioning of the party.
