Second accused in Nirankari Sabha blast which took place in Rajasansi, Amritsar, has been arrested. He has been identified as Avtar Singh. Two pistols, four magazines, and 25 live rounds have also been confiscated from him.

As per the Punjab DGP Suresh Arora, a contact named Javed from Pakistan and Paramjit Singh Godara, a resident of Italy have been linked to this attack. Further investigations are on.

Earlier, the first arrest into the Nirankari blast case had been made a couple of days ago. That announcement was made by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday.

“26-year-old Bikramjit Singh was arrested and search for Avtar Singh was on. The Chief Minister had then displayed pictures of the two accused and assured that the second person would be arrested soon.

It has been found that Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is quite active in brewing trouble in Punjab. The grenade used in this attack is the one being used against forces in Kashmir. These grenades are of HE-36 Series used by Pakistan and the same was used in the blast at the Nirankari sabha.

Three people, including a preacher, were killed and more than 20 others were wounded when two-bike borne men lobbed a grenade on a religious congregation on Sunday. The incident took place inside the Nirankari Bhawan’s prayer hall at Rajasansi, Amritsar.
