Two youth speeding bike at 199 kmph & streaming live on Facebook killed

It is reported that both were receiving comments on their page as their speedometer hit 199 kmph.

The Hush Post: Mania for speed and Facebook claimed the lives of two youths in Chattisgarh when their bike, speeding at a crazy 199 kmph, rammed into a bus coming from the opposite direction. They were streaming their ‘feat’ live on Facebook.

The incident took place at Charama in Chattisgarh’s Kanker district. The deceased have been identified as Manish Kumar and Murli Nishad, both hailing from Bastar.  Manish was driving the bike and Murli was riding pillion.

It is reported that both were receiving comments on their page as their speedometer hit 199 kmph. However, within a fraction of second, when Manish moved his eye on to the phone, the bike rammed into a bus coming from the opposite direction. The head-on collision claimed the life of Manish on the spot while Murli breathed his last at a nearby hospital.

Meanwhile, the bus passengers also received minor injuries as the driver tried to avert the accident.  The bodies of Manish and Murli have been handed over to their families after post mortem.
