Arjun Tendulkar to play for India Under-19 against Sri Lanka

The Hush Post: All-time batting great Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar has been named in the India Under-19 cricket team which will visit Sri Lanka for a tour beginning next month, according to the media reports.

The Indian team will play four-day and one-day matches in Sri Lanka in July. The batting all-rounder has been picked for the two four-day matches that India will play against SL.

This tour will also be an opportunity for Arjun, to work under the tutelage of longtime Tendulkar friend and compatriot Rahul Dravid.

Arjun was part of the main group of Under-19 cricketers who attended the camp in Zonal Cricket Academy (ZCA) and played matches in Una.

The four-day squad will be skippered by Delhi wicketkeeper-batsman Anuj Rawat while the one-day squad will be led by Aryan Juyal.

Junior Tendulkar was recently in the news for displaying an all-around performance in the global Twenty20 series in Australia, organised by the Sydney Cricket Ground in January earlier this year.

Arjun considers Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Strac and England all rounder Ben Stokes among his idols.
