After 19-day-long battle for life due to multiple organ failure, cadet passes out of NDA

The cadet, Rajashekhar, had to be admitted to the Military Hospital in Dehradun after having sustained critical injuries while undergoing training at the NDA

The Hush Post: A brave heart cadet of the National Defence Academy (NDA) succeeded in passing out the NDA to become an Indian Army officer even after battling for life in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Dehradun Military Hospital for 19 days.

The cadet, Rajashekhar, had to be admitted to the Military Hospital in Dehradun after having sustained critical injuries while undergoing training at the NDA. In the Military Hospital, he had been admitted in an ICU, a report said on Monday.

As per reports, he had suffered multiple organ failure. According to the doctors, his chances of survival were very less.

But a soldier in a real sense, cadet Rajshekhar succeeded in his fight for life and then bounced back to ultimately be a part of the passing our parade of cadets at the military academy in Dehradun. He has even been awarded the ‘Best Motivational Cadet’ award, the report said.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Rajashekhar had lost his father when he (Rajashekhar) was a class 10 student. Since then, Rajashekhar was living with his mother and brother. According to reports, Rajashekhar’s family faced major financial troubles after the death of his father. His mother had to then take up odd jobs to fulfil the needs of the family, the report said.

Currently undergoing treatment for his injuries, Rajashekhar is confident of recovering completely soon and join his duty, it was reported.
