The Hush Post: An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA has been booked by the Delhi Police for `abusing’ a woman officer.
The case has been filed against Narayan Dutt Sharma, AAP MLA from Badarpur.
This is the second case against Sharma. Last year an official of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation had filed a complaint against Sharma.
According to the police: “We have registered an FIR under IPC sections 509 (outraging the modesty of a woman) and 506 (threatening). The case was registered after we received a handwritten complaint, alleging that Sharma used abusive and threatening language after calling on her phone,’’ police said. The statement was released by DCP (southeast) Chinmoy Biswal.
The complaint has been filed by a woman officer working as a project officer with the ICDS project in Badarpur. The project comes under the Department of Women and Child Development. The incident took place on March 17 when the complainant was at her office in Lajpat Nagar.
Last year Sharma was booked for obstructing officials in discharging their duty. The FIR was lodged under sections 186, 353, 332, 506, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The complainant last year was an assistant engineer who had alleged that the MLA had assaulted him and other officials and had tried to prevent demolitions of illegal structures in Hari Nagar.
