Army officer found dead on Sadar Bazar railway track in Delhi

An army officer’s body was found on Sadar Bazar railway track in Delhi on Monday, July 29. The officer has been identified as Captain Diwakar Puri who was a resident of Delhi and worked for Army Medical Corps.

His body was reportedly found around 11:20 a.m. According to the reports, a Shatabdi train had passed on the track around that time.

The DCP railway reportedly said, “Captain Diwakar Puri attended a training camp in Lucknow and was returning to Delhi on Shramjeevi Express. He had got his posting and was to be stationed in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Giving more information about the case, he said that Diwakar fell asleep while travelling and forgot to take the luggage. Coach attendant woke him up at the railway station. He got up and reached the Sadar Bazar railway station track where his dead body was found around 11:20 am.

The reason for his death is still unclear and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
