The Hush Post: It seemed like a scene from the Bollywood’s popular series of “Dhoom” movies when three unidentified armed bikers fired shots at a cash van, critically injuring custodians of the van, and fled away with Rs 12 lakh cash.
Everything that happened on Thursday afternoon in Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) Industrial Area of Narela seemed like filmy but was real, including the firing of bullets. Two custodians of the van, who had got critically injured, later succumbed to their injuries, The Indian Express reported.
The deceased have been identified as cashier Rajnikant and guard Prem Kumar. The duo had in DSIIDC Industrial Area to collect cash from a wine shop. When the duo arrived there, three armed bike-borne persons reached there and started firing bullets at them. The attackers were wearing helmets, probably to hide their faces. They fired about 20 bullets thus critically injuring the custodians of van. Then they fled with the cash box that contained Rs12 lakh.
The critically injured custodians of van were rushed to the nearby Raja Harishchandra Hospital but they could not be saved and succumbed to the injuries.
The police have launched a manhunt for the accused but no one has been arrested so far, The Indian Express reported. The police suspect it is the handiwork of some criminals from Haryana.
