Change in CBSE 10th, 12th exam pattern likely from 2019-20 onwards

The Hush Post: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is considering a change of exam pattern to the Class 10th, 12th board examinations. As per information available, the changes will be implemented from the next academic year, i.e from 2019-20.
The central board is assessing the possibility of changing the paper pattern of Class X and Class XII board exams and make it more concept-based. The plan also includes conducting vocational exams in February and end the board exams by March-end.
According to HRD official,  the question paper will include more short answer-type questions of 1 to 5 marks. The focus will be to test the conceptual and thinking capabilities of the students. In the proposed plan, the board will conduct the examination of vocational courses in February and the main exams in March.
The aim is to complete examination process on time and to release the results in last week of April or in the first week of May.
As per reports, the plan to change the paper pattern is already in place and the board has started working on the same.
