CRPF trooper killed in Delhi as teen hits Mercedes into car ferrying security personnel

A CRPF trooper was killed on Friday in Greater Kailash area of Delhi as a teenager rammed his Mercedes Benz into a car carrying three paramilitary personnel.

The accident took place just before midnight on Thursday. According to the media reports Sanidhya Garg, the accused teenager jumped the traffic signal and hit the car. His speedy car climbed on to the divider and stopped after hitting an electric pole.

The three injured in the accident were constable driver Vinod Kumar, 36, Babu Lal Yadav, 38, and Narendra 24.

Narendra was the one with most serious injuries and he died in a hospital on Friday. However, Kumar and Yadav were discharged after first-aid.

A police officer said that the impact of the accident was such that the airbags of the Mercedes came out of the car.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar informed the media that Sanidhya Garg was pursuing an undergraduate course in commerce from London. He came to Delhi on a vacation. His father runs a businessman in Noida.

“No alcohol was found in anyone’s medical examination,” an officer reportedly said.
