The Delhi government has approved the validity of students passes in DTC’s air-conditioned buses. The passes will be available to the students at the cost of Rs 200.
Directed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Cabinet approved the facility of student concessional passes in DTC‘s air-conditioned buses. It also includes the buses running under the cluster scheme which have special safety features.
The passes will be available for bonafide students of educational institutions in Delhi. The institute should be recognised by Delhi university or affiliated to Delhi government, central government or municipal corporations. Until recently, students had provision of passes for Rs 100 to be used in non-AC DTC buses only.
Mentally disabled students are also eligible for it. The government said the measure will give a boost to the usage of public transport among students.
