The police have arrested a woman Prabha Munni in a trafficking case from Punjabi Bagh area of Delhi; immediately after that her photo with Kejriwal appeared on social media
The Hush Post: Delhi Chief Minister (CM) Arvind Kejriwal has landed in a fresh controversy. This time because his photo with a trafficking accused woman has emerged on social media.
This photo shows the Delhi CM with Prabha Munni, an accused of running a human trafficking racket. The development has triggered a new controversy for Kejriwal, who is also Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor, a report said.
The photo, which has gone viral on social media, shows Kejriwal sitting beside a human trafficking accused Prabha Munni.
This picture appeared on social media immediately after the police arrested Munni from Punjabi Bagh area of Delhi. The police arrested Munni on September 25, almost remaining absconding for over five years, the report said.
According to police, Prabha Munni runs a human trafficking racket under the garb of an NGO. The police said under this NGO, Munni used to lure young Jharkhand women on the pretext of providing them jobs. When the women used to reach Delhi from Jharkhand, Munni allegedly sold them, the police said.
The Jharkhand Police have registered several cases against Prabha Munni. The police have also announced a reward of Rs 25,000 in this regard.
The police are yet to ascertain that how many women Prabha Munni has thrown into human trafficking. Munni went absconding in 2013. She is currently in the custody of Jharkhand Police. The police have been given Munni’s transit remand.
