ACP with Delhi police commits suicide | Jumps from 10th floor of police headquarters building

An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) rank officer allegedly committed suicide in Delhi. He jumped from the 10th floor of the police headquarters building in Central Delhi.

The deceased is 55-year-old Prem Ballabh. He was posted in crime and traffic unit of Delhi Police. The incident has left everyone in police fraternity shocked.

The top officials of the police are on the spot and are investigating the case.

Earlier in May, senior Maharashtra police officer Himanshu Roy committed suicide. He shot himself at his residence in Mumbai. He was battling cancer and suffering from depression. Another senior police officer Rajesh Sahni too shot himself dead in May this year. He shot himself with a service pistol in Gomtinagar in Lucknow. He was in charge of a sensitive case related to a Pithoragarh resident Ramesh Singh Kanyal, who worked in Islamabad as a cook between 2015 and 2017. The ISI wanted him to bug the diplomats residence.
