The Hush Post: In a case of a lover turning a criminal, a man from Delhi kidnapped the four-year-old son of a woman whom he had proposed to marry but she had turned down his proposal.
To build a pressure on his lover, the man hatched a conspiracy to kidnap her child. The incident was reported from the Madhu Vihar locality of East Delhi on Sunday, a report said on Monday.
The local police were informed on June 16 about the kidnapping of a four-year-old boy by his mother. The woman had accused one Shiv Kumar of kidnapping her son, it was reported.
While investigating the matter, the police came to know that the suspect Shiv Kumar and the kidnapped child were in Connaught Place of New Delhi. Following this tip-off, the police nabbed Shiv Kumar was nabbed and recovered the child on the same day, the report said.
In his interrogation, accused Shiv Kumar confessed that he wanted to marry the complainant but she did not accept his proposal to marry him and therefore to put pressure on her, he kidnapped her son, DCP (East) Pankaj Singh, reportedly said.
Accused Shiv Kumar had gone to the house of complainant on the pretext of wishing Eid and when the woman went out of the room, he kidnapped her son and ran away from there, the DCP said. The accused had plans to get a train to Kolkata, the report said.
