The Special Cell of the Delhi Police have arrested three terrorists of the Islamic State of Jammu & Kashmir (ISJK). All the three terrorists are from Jammu & Kashmir.
The police have seized 3 hand grenades, 2 pistols and 12 cartridges from the terrorists. The three were arrested in a joint operation of the Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir Police.
The terrorists have been identified as Tral resident Tahir Ali Khan, Badgam resident Haris Mushtaq Khan and Aasif Suhail Nadaf from Rainwadi. Tahir Ali is the son of Ali Mohammed, Haris Hushtaq’s father is Mushtaq Ahmed and Aasif Suhail Nadaf’s father’s name is Latif.
The Delhi Police had arrested two terrorists- Parvez and Jamshid from near the Red Fort in September earlier this year. The two also had links with the ISJK following which the terror module was exposed.
Hideout busted in Avantipora
The police also busted a hideout of the module in in Avantipora, J&K. The module has around 12 terrorists. The head of the module is said to be one Aadil Thoker. Harris has been a student of the Jamia Milia University from 2013 to 2016. Ehtisham Bilal, a student of the Sharda University in Greater Noida is also a member of this module.
Kushwaha said that while the arrested persons were not planning an attack in Delhi, they were planning “some kind of activity.”
