The online registration will continue until June 7. The first cut-off lists are likely to be out by June 19
The Hush Post: The Delhi University (DU) will start the online registration for the admissions to undergraduate courses from Tuesday evening. Information regarding the registration will be available on DU official website at 5 pm.
Registration will continue until June 7. The first cut-off lists are likely to be out by June 19. In the previous year, many applicants had complained about the slowing down and crashing of the DU website server. They faced the problems while filling up the forms online.
“The system has been revamped to make it more convenient. The software has been updated and it will let aspirants apply for both merit-based courses and entrance exams through the same form,” a DU official explained.
The university is planning to solve the problems being faced by the students by strengthening the grievance redressal mechanism. The university plans to employ more volunteers when the Open Days start from May 21.
The DU official also said the volunteers with the CBSE background would automatically get their marks updated in the forms once the results are out.
Since last year, the university had updated its system to make the cancellation of admissions from a college faster and easier. Now the candidates don’t need to personally go to deposit the admission form rather they can do the same online. Thus it will save their time and they won’t have to stand in long queues.
The refund procedure has also been made simple. “Now in case of a refund, an aspirant will get the money back in the account submitted by him at the time of the registration,” the university officials said.
