DELHI’S LIFELINE METRO LOSES 30 LAKH RIDERS AFTER FARE HIKE

The Hush Post: Metro lost more than three lakh commuters a day after a steep hike in fair in October. The metro’s daily average occupancy came down to 24.2 lakh riders in October, 3.2 lakh less from 27.4 lakh in September.The blue line, considered the metro’s busiest, lost more than 30 lakh commuters a month, as per the data released by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation  (DMRC). The 50-km corridor connects Noida to Dwarka. The metro currently has 218-km long network across Delhi and its region. The fall of passengers in the yellow lines is estimated at 19 lakh, which is another busy corridor connecting Gurgaon to Samaypur Badli.
