The bat was presented through Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria who today called on Imran Khan, the Chairperson of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) party. The High Commissioner congratulated the PM designate on his electoral success, discussed range of issues and prospects of India-Pak relationship.
In an official press release issued by PTI’s Central Media Department the HC Basaria called on Chairman PTI Imran Khan today in Islamabad at Chairman’s Secretariat Banigala. Senior PTI leaders including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Fawad Choudhary, Dr. Shireen Mazari, Dr. Shehzad Waseem and Naeem ul Haq were also present in the meeting.
During the meet Imran Khan discussed the need to restart dialogue between Pakistan and India on all outstanding issues including Kashmir. Imran Khan also expressed the hope that the SAARC Summit would be held soon in Islamabad.
Speaking at the occasion the Indian High Commissioner said post the Indian PM phone call to Pakistan’s PM designate Imran Khan there was a new optimism in India that relations would move forward positively.
Imran Khan welcomed the positive message conveyed by the Indian High Commissioner on behalf of his government and reiterated his hope for both countries to move forward for the betterment of the people of the subcontinent, said the press release.
