The Hush Post: The Delhi Police have arrested a jealous lover for allegedly killing a teacher of his girlfriend. The accused is a student of the Delhi Technological University. The youth allegedly killed a 31-year-old teacher at his tuition centre in Mahendra Park area of Delhi earlier this week.
The police arrested a 21-year-old student Aakash, a native of Jahangirpuri, from his house. The police have charged him for allegedly killing a teacher Ankit Sagar, a report said.
The deceased’s family claimed he was in a relationship with another community girl and her brother had killed him.
The police identified the accused by scanning CCTV footage of the area and arrested him from his home
Northwest DCP Aslam Khan said they thoroughly interrogated all the present and previous students of the tuition centre. The police also examined the kin and friends of the deceased teacher.
“We got the picture of the accused by scanning CCTV footage of the area. We found Aakash and arrested him from his house in Jahangirpuri,” DCP Khan said.
The accused has confessed he was in a relationship with the woman who was in a relationship with Sagar earlier.
After their breakup too, Sagar used to talk to her and did not want to leave her. Aakash wanted to marry the woman and was “over possessive” about her. The accused thought Sagar would not stop and continue to harass her.
Aakash went to Baghpat in UP, on Holi festival from where he brought a country-made pistol. Ever since, Akash was planning to kill the teacher.
“In the early hours of Monday, Aakash went to the coaching institute wearing a pollution mask and a cap to conceal his identity. When Sagar entered the tuition centre, he shot in the head from back,” DCP Khan said.
Aakash is a fourth-year student of the Delhi Technological University.
Sagar’s brother used to teach Aakash and the woman was Sagar’s student.
The police have seized a country-made pistol, a bag, a mask and a cap from Aakash, the report said.
