The Hush Post: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination or JEE (Main) – January 2019 for admissions to Undergraduate programs in NITs, IITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. between January 6 and January 20. The NTA has released the online notification for the same. The JEE (Main) – 2019 is to be conducted twice (January and April) before admissions in the next academic session.
The candidates are required to apply online between 1st September, 2018 to 30th September, 2018. The fees can be paid online up to 1st October, 2018.
All candidates aspiring to take admission to the undergraduate programs at IITs for the year 2009 will have to appear in the Paper-I (B.E./B.Tech.) of JEE (Main)-2019. Based on the performance in Paper-I (B.E./B.Tech.) of JEE (Main)-2019, a number of top candidates as per the requirement of JEE (Advanced) (including all categories) will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)- 2019.
The Paper-I, for B.E./B.Tech. aspirants, comprising of subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) and would be conducted in two shifts- from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2:30pm to 5:30pm.
The Paper-II, for B.Arch/B.Planning aspirants, comprising of Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) will also be a Computer Based Test (CBT) while Part-III i.e. Drawing Test of the same paper would be Pen & Paper Based (offline) and the whole paper would be held in one shift only.
Similarly the second JEE (Main) – April 2019 will be conducted between 6th April to 20th April for which a separate notice will be issued. However, the students are not required to compulsorily appear in both the tests. In case they do so, the better of the two scores will be used for the admissions and eligibility to JEE (Advanced) – 2019.
