Operated through at least 10 Facebook accounts
The Hush Post: A national-level judoka was arrested for allegedly stalking and sending obscene pictures to girls through social media. The accused is a gold medallist in judo in junior nationals, twice in school national and once in Federation Cup. The judo player belongs to Bhiwani, Haryana.
With his arrest, the police claimed to have solved two cases of stalking registered in Delhi. A case had been registered following a complaint filed by one of his victims. Subsequently, a raid was conducted in Bhiwani and the accused was nabbed. In her complainant, the girl alleged that the accused used to mentally harass her by sending objectionable messages and posting her pictures on Facebook and WhatsApp.
It was found during investigation that he had procured the SIM number based on fake identity. The judo player had made more than 10 fake Facebook profiles which he used for sending messages to victims.
The accused also runs private yoga classes, police said.
He used to send objectionable pictures and vulgar abusive messages through WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, Harendra Singh, ADCP (North), told mediapersons.
