Starting today, many changes related to PAN card and net-banking services have come into place. These changes will affect all and sundry. Know here the changes that come into force:

In order to get a PAN card, individuals will now no longer require to furnish their father’s name. According to the new rules, if the applicant’s parents are separated, then the mandatory provision of furnishing father’s name has been done away with.  This will ease the process for the applicants who have a single parent. The changes have been incorporated via means of an official notification.

In another important change, the State Bank of India (SBI) will now stop the net-banking services for customers who don’t have their mobile numbers registered. The services have been stopped starting December 1. The largest bank in the country had asked its customers to register their mobile numbers by November 30.

Meanwhile, SBI has also discontinued with its SBI Buddy app. If someone still has some money in the app, he or she is advised to withdraw the amount as soon as possible. The SBI announced this on its official Twitter handle. The bank has now launched its Yono app. The customers can now avail the wallet services through this app.
