Man calling himself PM Modi’s spiritual guru booked


The Hush Post: A man posing as a spiritual guru of none other than the Prime Minister of India has been booked. The person claimed that he was the spiritual guru of PM Modi. Now, he is facing an FIR that was lodged against him. The Assistant Director posted with the Prime Minister Office (PMO) has approached the chief of Delhi Police, Amulya Patnaik, a senior officer reportedly said.

The PMO found that a forged letter was sent to the District Magistrate of Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur by a person who claimed to be the secretary, Ministry of Arts and Culture, asking for security and accommodation for Acharya Pulkit Maharaj aka Pulkit Mishra who was posing as Modi’s spiritual guru.

“The matter was forwarded to the special operation squad of the Crime Branch. Police substantiated the allegations and an FIR was lodged,” the officer said, according to media reports.

The PMO officials said that this was a case of misusing the PM’s name for personal gains. A team headed by inspector Satyawan Lathwal has initiated a probe into the matter. As of now, no arrest has been made. However, the person will be summoned for questioning.
