In a shocking incident, a man jumped into a lion’s enclosure at the Delhi Zoo on Thursday. However, the man was rescued safely by the security personnel.
The man has been identified as 28-year-old Rehan Khan from Bihar. He jumped into the lion’s enclosure by climbing on the metal grille. In a video, he can be seen going close to the lion and sitting in front of him.

The PRO of the Delhi Zoo, Riyaz Ahmded reportedly said, “Rehan Khan jumped into lion’s enclosure, guards tried to stop him. He kept saying, ‘I’ve come to die, don’t rescue me.’ We all rushed to the spot, gave him a ladder but he did not listen. Then we tranquilised the lion and rescued him.”
According to the police, Khan did not sustain any injury and seems to be mentally disturbed. Currently, he resides in Seelampur in northeast Delhi and is being questioned by the police.
