In south Delhi’s Govindpur area, a man was allegedly bludgeoned to death for slapping a man who urinated in front of his house.
The incident took place on Sunday night. According to the investigating police officials the dead man, identified as Lilu, was sitting in front of his house with his wife Pinky after a power cut in the area.
“When a 65-year-old man who stayed in the neighbouring area, came and urinated on the street. Lilu objected and later slapped the man following an argument. Two sons of the elderly person rushed to rescue their father and a fight broke between Lilu and them,” said the police.
Police further added that, “One of the two brothers then picked up a big cement slab from the street and hit Lilu’s head with it. The accused repeatedly hit Lilu until he fell unconscious. The victim was rushed to AIIMS trauma center where he was declared brought dead.”
The police have registered a case. Two persons have been arrested in the case. During the investigations police found that Lilu was a repeat offender and was involved in several cases of snatching and robbery.
