Narendra Modi to get award from Bill Melinda Gates Foundation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be recognised with an award for his Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan (Clean India initiative). The honour for Modi has come from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh tweeted on Monday:  “Another award, another moment of pride for every Indian, as PM Modi’s diligent and innovative initiatives bring laurels from across the world. Sh @narendramodi to receive award from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for #SwachhBharatAbhiyaan during his visit to the United States.”Image result for Bill Melinda Gates Foundation

The award will be conferred on him by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on September 25 when he will be in New York.

Modi is travelling to the United States later this month to attend the annual session of the United States General Assembly.

Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is a private foundation started by Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda. It is based in Seattle in Washington and was launched in 2000. The largest private foundation in the world, it has assets worth $50.7 billion.
