Sonia Gandhi complains of uneasiness in Shimla, rushed to Chandigarh & then flown to Delhi

It is reported that Sonia Gandhi refused to visit the local Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), and insisted on going back.

The Hush Post: Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was on a personal visit to Shimla, was on Thursday night rushed to Chandigarh and then flown to Delhi on Friday morning after she complained of some uneasiness.  She was accompanied by her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.  The two had arrived in Shimla on Wednesday and were staying at Hotel Wildflower Hall in Charabra.

It is reported that Sonia Gandhi refused to visit the local Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), and insisted on going back. She left for Chandigarh on Thursday night in her own vehicle. An ambulance was also pressed into service. Medical Superintendent, IGMC, Dr. Ramesh Chand accompanied Sonia Gandhi till Chandigarh and said that she was stable and travelled without stopping en route, the Tribune reported.

The senior Congress leader reached Chandigarh at around 2:40 am and spent the night at a hotel while the PGI was kept on alert. Sonia and Priyanka left for Delhi via a charted flight Friday early morning.

Sonia Gandhi was earlier too airlifted to Delhi and admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hosptial while on a visit to Shimla in October 2017. She had complained of upset stomach then. Sonia frequently visits Shimla as Priyanka Gandhi is constructing a house in Charabra there.
